This webinar will provide you with insights on different approaches available to develop smart and functional assays to identify modulators (e.g. small molecules) of hetero-multimeric protein complexes, protein-protein interaction, protein-DNA interaction, protein-RNA interaction. The first part of the webinar is dedicated to biochemical assays, while the second part is dedicated to cell-based assays on live cells.

- Elisa Onesto, PhD - Principal Scientist Cell Biology
Elisa is currently working as Principal Scientist in the Cell Biology group at Axxam developing cell-based assays for HTS. She holds a Master Degree (Laurea Magistralis) in Pharmaceutical Biotechnologies and a Ph.D. degree in Endocrinology and Metabolic Science at the University of Milan. There she worked in the neuroscience field studying molecular mechanisms potentially causative of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), focusing on protein aggregation and pathways for cellular clearance (as UPS and autophagy) but also on RNA metabolism.

- Valeria Wanke, PhD - Senior Scientist Biochemistry
Valeria is currently senior scientist in the Biochemistry group at Axxam with twenty years of experience in the field of HTS assay configuration on therapeutically relevant targets with focused expertise in biochemical assays. She holds a Ph.D. in Biotechnology studying the biochemical and kinetic properties of novel anti-infective drug targets and she covered a Post-Doc position in the University of Geneva (Dept. of Microbiology and Molecular Medicine) working on structural and functional characterization of nutrient-regulated protein kinases.
